Cloudburst in Tehri, two missing, rescue teams dispatched (Social media)

National News:The continuous rain in Uttarakhand has once again wreaked havoc. Late Thursday night, a cloudburst was reported in the Genwali Bhilangana area of ​​the Tehri district. It is a matter of relief that no one died here, but there is a possibility of damage to private and government property. Administration teams have been immediately dispatched to the spot. Teams from the Health Department, Electricity Department, Jal Sansthan, Jal Nigam, PWD, and Veterinary have also reached the affected areas.

A couple missing due to cloudburst in Mopata

There has been major damage due to a cloudburst in Mopata village of Dewal tehsil of Tehri. Here Tara Singh and his wife are reported to be missing. While Vikram Singh and his wife are injured. Apart from this, about 15 to 20 cattle were buried due to debris falling on their residence and cowshed.

Debris entered houses in Kaleshwar

Due to heavy rains, debris came down from the mountain in the Kaleshwar area and entered many houses. The work of removing debris with JCB machines is going on, and police are present on the spot.

National highways closed in Chamoli

The situation has worsened due to continuous rain in Chamoli district. National highways have been blocked at many places here. The areas where the roads have been closed include Nandprayag, Kameda, Bhanerpani, Pagalnala, Jilasu, Gulabkoti, and Chatwapipal. Administration and PWD teams are busy opening the roads.

Police appeal

The police have appealed to the travelers not to set out on the journey without official confirmation. They have also been advised to follow the instructions issued by the administration from time to time so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
